Why not just publish my announcement in the local newspaper?
Publishing your announcement in a local newspaper is fine, but there are a few disadvantages. First, a typical announcement (like an engagement or obituary notice) is only in the newspaper for 1-2 days. So if someone misses it, there's no way to get it back without publishing the announcement all over again. Second, newspaper announcements tend to be very localized. Friends and relatives from other cities, provinces, or countries are not likely to see it. Third, a newspaper announcement only allows for one-way communication. How do I share my announcement once it's been completed?
At Celebrating-Life.com you can choose the Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum Announcement Package. These packages can be designed for either public or private viewing. We'll provide you with the full path link (such as: http://www.celebrating-life.com/yourname.htm) to your Celebration Package. You can also find your announcement by going to the Announcement Directory, clicking the appropriate category and making your selection from the listing. [top]
Private packages are posted at password-protected area of Celebrating-Life.com. Persons who order packages for private viewing will be given a password and complete instructions for accessing their announcement. [top]
How do I order an announcement?
Ordering online is fast and easy. Once you've made your selection and reviewed the Terms of Service, complete the online order form. Then, proceed to the shopping area. [top]
How do I add send the text to you?
The content for your announcement can be sent in the body of an email, as an email attachment or pasted into the online form we've provided. [top]
How can I add photographs to my announcement?
Adding photographs to your Celebration Package can be done quickly and easily. If you have photographs stored on your computer as .gif , .tif or .jpg files, simply email them to us at support@celebrating-life.com. If you don't have a scanner to scan and store your original photographs (or artwork), you can mail them to us (along with a self-addressed stamped envelope for their return) at Celebrating-Life.com, P.O. Box 692, Randallstown, MD 21133. You will be charged $5 per image (plus applicable taxes) for us to scan and prep your submissions. [top]
How can I have a guest book added to my announcement after it's been created?
If you're the original author of the memorial, you can add the guest book option. To place your order, simply email us a note indicating that you want to add the guest book to your Celebration Package. There is a $75.00 charge for setting up and posting the guest book. It may take a few days for it to become activated. [top]
How long will it take for my announcement to be posted once my order is received?
Once your order is received, it should take 2-4 business days for it to be posted. You can always make inquires about your order by going to support@celebrating-life.com and our staff will be happy to assist you. [top]
Can I make changes to the announcement after its been posted?
Yes, you can revise your announcement at any time. Just contact us at support@celebratingilife.com. There may be a slight charge to you if additional editing of images or text is needed. [top]
